The lake has a maximum depth of 58 feet and is approximately 8 miles long. The lake has some good size fish with largemouth averaging 2-3 pounds, some 4-5 pounders as well as a few near the 7 pound range.

Guide Service:

If you want a good guide, hire Bill's Guide Service. Bill has been fishing Hopatcong for years and runs some of his tournaments here. He knows the lake well.

Recommended Boat Ramp:

Lee's County Park Marina- The majority of the tournaments are run out of Lee's County Park Marina. This ramp is as good as any. There is a launch fee- not sure what it is now. There is ample parking for a 50 boat tournament. There are at least two ramps and might be a third- not sure. Lees Park is located in the South East section of the lake in Van Every Cove. It is off of Howard Blvd in Mt. Arlington.
